The man, who was 61 years old, hasn’t been named yet. His body was located in the water near the Aberdeenshire bridge around 12:15 PM on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

Police say they don’t think his death is suspicious, but they’re treating it as unexplained. The bridge was closed for a while as they investigated.

Photos from the scene show the cordon extending to nearby flats, with police and ambulance crews present on Monday morning.
