Matt Goss opens up about love, loss, and his upcoming tour in a candid interview, revealing his thoughts on marriage and relationships.
London: Matt Goss is back in the spotlight. The former Bros frontman still has that pop star charm. He’s got those famous cheekbones and striking blue eyes. Back in the late ’80s, he was a teen heartthrob with his twin brother Luke and Craig Logan. They were a sensation!
Recently, Matt chatted with OK! magazine. He’s busy working on new music and a movie with Stephen Dorff. Plus, he’s gearing up for a tour featuring all the Bros hits. He’s excited to share his music with fans again.
“I’ve been touring my whole life, and I love it,” he said. His upcoming tour, “Matt Goss: The Hits & More,” starts in March. He wants everyone to have a blast and enjoy the night out.
Matt spent 11 years in Vegas, which he found daunting at first. “Everyone said Vegas is tough, but I did it,” he shared. He’s performed for huge crowds, like 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium. Those moments are unforgettable.
In his personal life, he’s dating Chantal Brown, a model and jewelry designer. They’ve been together for three years, and he lights up when talking about her. “She’s kind and funny,” he says. There are whispers of engagement, and he’s open to it. “I love her, isn’t that what it’s all about?”
His fans have changed over the years. “They used to want hugs, now they want more!” he joked. It’s a different vibe now that they’re older and know what they want.
Matt has had some wild fan encounters. Once, a fan hid under his hotel bed! He laughed about it, saying he didn’t react well. Another time, he found a naked woman in his shower. “That’s not someone I want to meet!” he chuckled.
Fame has its downsides too. Recently, someone pretended to be him online. He was relieved when the police caught the person. “It left a bad taste,” he admitted. It’s tough when fans get too intense.
He also competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2022. Would he do another reality show? “I’d rather hide in a jungle than do I’m A Celebrity,” he laughed. He’s fun but also shy about those things.
Over the years, he’s met many icons, including Muhammad Ali and Princess Diana. He remembers Diana fondly, saying she had a special light. Losing his mom and sister has been hard for him. “I feel a bit orphaned,” he said, reflecting on those losses.
Despite the challenges, he’s found peace. He believes in surrounding himself with good people. “Sometimes, that’s not family,” he noted. But he’s grateful for his close friends.
