Eight teens were caught in a stolen car after a wild 22-mile chase through Fife and Perthshire, leading to multiple charges against them.
Cowdenbeath: So, here’s the scoop. Eight teenagers got into some serious trouble after a police chase that stretched over 22 miles. It all kicked off in the early hours of Saturday.
Police got a call about a stolen car in Cowdenbeath around 2 AM. They spotted the vehicle in Kelty but, when they signaled it to stop, the driver took off. Naturally, the chase was on!
After a wild ride, the car finally came to a halt on Brandywell Road in Abernethy. The police dog unit jumped in to help track down the teens, who had scattered into the woods.
All eight of them, aged between 14 and 18, were found safe and sound. Two 15-year-olds faced charges for theft and road traffic offenses, while the others were charged for the theft itself.
The police dogs, Stig and Xander, were praised for their teamwork in tracking the kids down. It was a real team effort, and they did a fantastic job!
