Glasgow’s First Bus halts services due to Storm Eowyn’s severe weather warnings
The Met Office has issued several warnings across Scotland. First Bus is following Scotrail in suspending services. They made this decision after consulting with the police.
The weather warning kicks in at 10 am tomorrow. But First Bus will stop all routes by 8 am. This gives drivers time to get the buses back to the depots safely.
Duncan Cameron, the managing director, said they’re acting on strong advice from authorities. He urged passengers to stay home and not travel tomorrow.
They plan to withdraw services starting at 8 am. Once the storm passes and it’s safe, they’ll gradually resume services after 6 pm.

The storm is likely to cause major disruptions. Schools will be closed, and everyone is advised to stay indoors.
