Some areas in Conwy are still dealing with water supply issues, but help is on the way
Conwy: Some towns and villages are still having water supply problems. Dŵr Cymru is working hard to fix the issues. They recently repaired a burst pipe in Dolgarrog.
However, some areas are still facing interruptions. Dŵr Cymru mentioned that airlocks in the network are causing these temporary issues. They’re out tankering water to help residents.
There were concerns about a potential leak at Bryn Cowlyd, but the company is monitoring it closely. They’ve assured that this won’t lead to more water shortages.
Conwy councillor Thomas Montgomery has been in touch with Dŵr Cymru. He said they found something that needs further checking, but it shouldn’t affect water supply again.
Dŵr Cymru plans to keep pumping water into the network to fill reservoirs. Once that’s done, they’ll look into any necessary repairs without causing shortages.
Today, Dŵr Cymru updated that they don’t believe there’s a leak on the main line. They’ll keep a close watch on the situation.
Meanwhile, residents are dealing with piles of plastic water bottles from the crisis. It’s been a bit of a hassle, but help is on the way.
