Dunbar: Today, the kids at Dunbar Primary School got a surprise visit from Joe Wicks, the famous Body Coach. They were buzzing with excitement!

Joe popped in because the school raised the most money through Asda’s Cashpot for Schools initiative. This program lets shoppers donate a portion of their spending to schools.

Thanks to this effort, over £5.7 million will go to nearly 22,000 schools across the UK. Dunbar Primary School was the top fundraiser, and they received a whopping cheque for £4,215.88!

This money will help them upgrade their playgrounds and create a sensory garden. How cool is that? The kids were thrilled to see Joe and even got to join in on some warm-up sessions.

During his visit, Joe shared his love for fitness and education. He chatted with the teachers about how the funds would be used. He really cares about investing in young minds.

Joe said he’s proud to be part of this initiative. He knows how much it helps kids across the country. Emma Grierson, the Deputy Head, was over the moon about the visit.

She mentioned how hard it was to keep Joe’s visit a secret. The kids had a blast asking him questions and learning from him. They can’t wait to enjoy their new playground!

Annette Newell from Asda Dunbar also expressed her joy. She loved seeing the kids’ excitement and hearing their plans for the playground upgrades. It’s heartwarming to see such a positive impact!
