Conwy: There’s a huge mess on the roads right now. People are lining up for water after a big mains burst. It’s causing major traffic jams around the water stations.

Two spots have opened up for folks to grab water. One is at Zip World, and the other is at Parc Eirias. They’re giving out bottled water and water for toilets.

North Wales Police are asking everyone to stay away unless they really need water. They said the traffic is crazy, especially on Abergele Road.

Engineers have been working hard since Wednesday to fix the issue. About 40,000 homes and many businesses are affected. Some places have even closed early.

Dwr Cymru is offering compensation for those impacted. Households can get £30 for every 12 hours without water. Businesses can claim £75 for the same time.

The repair is tricky since the main is deep under the riverbed. It might take a while to get everything back to normal. Some people may get their water back sooner, but it could take up to 48 hours for everyone.

Stay safe out there and keep an eye on the updates!
