Exciting news! The Pride of Scotland Awards introduces a new award to honor inspiring individuals and groups making a difference.
Glasgow: The countdown is on for this year’s Daily Record Pride of Scotland Awards. And guess what? There’s a brand new award for 2025—the P&O Cruises Inspiration Award!
For five years, these awards have celebrated everyday Scots who show kindness and bravery. From Mila Sneddon, who inspired the Princess of Wales, to Asif Iqbal, who saved a driver from a burning car, Scotland is full of heroes.
Each winner is called “inspirational.” So, it makes sense to add this new award. It will honor someone who inspires others with their positive spirit and journey through tough times.
Nominees might be recognized for their amazing reactions to pivotal moments or for making a big impact. Think of kids like Zac Gunn, who chef Gordon Ramsay called a “warrior.”
Paul Ludlow, president of Carnival UK & P&O Cruises, expressed pride in partnering with these awards. He said they celebrate the extraordinary achievements of everyday heroes.
The award will be presented at a gala in Glasgow later this year. Sanjeev Kohli and Elaine C Smith will host the event, which will feature many stars.
Sanjeev shared that the first word that comes to mind for the winners is “inspirational.” He’s sure this year will be no different. The Pride of Scotland 2025 will launch tomorrow in the Daily Record, with details on how to nominate your heroes.
