A young man discovers his car burned while camping with friends in West Lothian, sparking police investigations into the incident.
Bathgate: Imagine this. You go camping with your friends, having a great time. Then you come back to find your car completely burnt out. That’s exactly what happened to Scott Kerr, a 24-year-old from West Lothian.
Scott parked his Ford Fiesta on Limefield Road before heading into the Bathgate Hills. When he returned, it was a total wreck. The police are treating the fire as “wilful.”
Scott was shocked. He said, “I couldn’t believe it. My car was navy blue, and I thought it was just missing. But then we got closer and saw it was on fire.”
He’s understandably angry and wants to know who did this. Bathgate is usually a nice place, but he’s heard stories about senseless crime. It’s frustrating for him and others in the community.
Police are still looking into the case. They received the report around noon on Saturday and confirmed there were no injuries. They’re working to find out what really happened.
It’s a reminder that even in good places, bad things can happen. If anyone has information, they should reach out to the police.
