Armadale: A Scots police officer named Joanne appeared on The Chase. She didn’t have the best luck, failing to answer several questions.

Joanne, from West Lothian, was on the show with her teammates. They were playing for a cash prize of £12,000. She wanted to treat her son to a trip to Diggerland.

The episode aired on January 17 on STV. Joanne was the third contestant to take her turn. Her teammates had already banked £10,000.

She started strong, answering the first two questions right. But then things went downhill. She ended up passing on four questions.

Despite that, she managed to bring back £2,000. When facing Chaser Paul Sinha, she had a choice between £1,000 and a whopping £50,000.

Joanne got off to a good start again, but after a wrong answer, she struggled. If she had been a bit braver, she could have gone for the big prize.

In the end, her team was happy she returned with £12,000 for the final round. Unfortunately, one teammate didn’t make it to the last round.

Paul Sinha caught the contestants with 52 seconds left, having answered every question correctly. Viewers had mixed feelings about Joanne’s performance, with one saying she thought every answer was “pass.”

You can catch The Chase on STV and STV Player weekdays at 5pm.
