The hit show The Traitors is boosting Scottish tourism as fans rush to explore its stunning landscapes and historic sites
The third season wraps up on January 24 with a special 70-minute episode. Viewers across the UK are captivated, and many want to see Scotland’s breathtaking landscapes for themselves.
Filmed at the stunning Ardross Castle in the Highlands, the show features contestants split into two groups: ‘Traitors’ and ‘Faithful’. The Traitors aim to eliminate others for a cash prize, while the Faithful try to uncover them.
Since the season started on January 1, Evan Evans, a leading tour company, reports a 27% increase in searches for Scotland. Searches for Edinburgh have jumped by 44%.
This ‘Traitors-effect’ is drawing viewers to Scotland’s historic cities and rugged Highlands. Ardross Castle has seen a whopping 188% increase in Google searches, prompting Evan Evans to create a new blog about castles.
Located about 25 miles from Inverness, Ardross Castle is perfect for the show. The historic building, designed in the Scottish Baronial style, is surrounded by beautiful gardens.
With the finale airing soon, the show’s popularity is clear. The premiere attracted five million viewers, making it a national sensation.
Roger Gomes from Evan Evans said, “Scotland’s stunning scenery has become a star thanks to the show. Fans are eager to experience the Celtic drama firsthand.”
Claudia Winkleman, the show’s host, has praised the Scottish Highlands, saying, “I’ve never seen anywhere more beautiful.”
Evan Evans offers tours showcasing Scotland’s rich Celtic heritage, including trips to Edinburgh and the dramatic Highlands.
While Ardross Castle isn’t open to the public, it does host weddings and corporate retreats, making it a unique venue.
