A woman was arrested after a racist outburst on an EasyJet flight to Manchester, shocking fellow passengers and prompting police intervention.
Witness Shauna Corr, 44, was just a few rows back. She felt terrible for the couple and kids sitting behind the woman. Shauna said the language was shocking and racist.
The woman made nasty comments about various groups, including Muslims and Ukrainians. Other passengers tried to calm her down, but she just kept going. The cabin crew warned her that police would be called if she didn’t stop.
Despite the warnings, she continued her tirade until the police met the flight upon landing. Shauna noted that the stewards handled the situation well, but the behavior was appalling.
She mentioned that at first, she thought it was a kid acting out. But as the flight went on, it became clear it was a middle-aged woman, which shocked everyone.
An EasyJet spokesperson praised the crew for their quick response. They said the woman was met by police due to her disruptive behavior on board.
The crew is trained to handle such situations, ensuring everyone’s safety. They take incidents like this very seriously and won’t tolerate abusive behavior.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed they were called about a drunk and disorderly woman on the flight from Belfast. When the plane landed, they arrested her on suspicion of being drunk on an aircraft.
She was taken into custody for questioning and remains there. It’s a wild story that’s left many passengers shaken.
