Zip World Conwy is shutting down after thoughtful deliberation, impacting local adventure seekers and visitors.
Conwy: Zip World has decided to close its Conwy location. They made the announcement recently, and it’s a bit of a bummer for adventure lovers.
They took over this site last year after Adventure Parc Snowdonia shut down its surf lagoon and indoor activities. Zip World stepped in to manage the indoor fun and accommodations.
This was their fourth spot in North Wales, joining others in Betws-y-Coed, Blaenau Ffestiniog, and Bethesda. Even with this closure, they’re still growing. Just last week, they revealed plans for Zip World London, set to open on Valentine’s Day.
In their announcement, they mentioned, “After much careful consideration, we’ve decided to cease operations at Zip World Conwy. This wasn’t an easy choice, and we’re grateful to everyone who supported us.”
They also said that if you have a booking, their team will reach out with options soon. They’re excited to welcome guests to their other locations and keep the adventure going.
Last November, there were talks about Global Shred Ventures taking over the Adventure Parc Snowdonia site, with plans to bring back surfing and even build a snow tunnel. Sounds interesting, right?
